Roads, railroads

Over 30 years time the URETEK group has completed over a 1,000 subsoil stabilization and slab lifting projects on transportation infrastructure. Our experience is that concrete or asphalt road subsidence or deformation can in many cases be attributed to the lack of proper subsoil density. Without fixing the subsoil, the solutions can only treat the symptoms. The URETEK method can be combined with other methods or by used by itself to fix roads, railroads, airports and bridges.

Airports

URETEK has proved to be especially valuable at high-traffic airports. It happens often that on the runway or other areas the concrete slabs are unstable or sinking. With URETEK you can stabilize or re-level these slabs. URETEK DEEP INJECTIONS and URETEK POWER PILE allows for deeper soil layers to be fixed. Bridges

It is a common problem with bridges that the backfill is loose. This causes the bridge approach to deform and sink. The URETEK method is capable of stabilizing the back fill and re-leveling the bridge approach slabs. Many such projects have been completed by the URETEK firms. It is possible to stabilize or lift bridge foundations also. URETEK injections are viable for submerged foundations as well.

Utility infrastructure

The stabilization and filling (if required) of underground utility infrastructure can be accomplished with the URETEK method. The stabilization of underground pipes can be done with URETEK DEEP INJECTIONS. The soil around the pipes can be densified well with this technology. In most cases the injections can be accomplished from the surface, and does not require excavations. Therefore the method does not require the additional expenses.
