The URETEK BENEFIL resin was developed for large void filling applications. It differs from the other URETEK materials because the resin is much lighter. It is especially useful where large voids must be filled. With URETEK BENEFIL the voids are quickly fillable, since the material is pumped at a high speed from up to 200 meters. Since the material’s curing time is several hours, it can be pumped hundreds of meters from the injection point, therefore hard to reach places of any shape or form can also be filled.
With the URETEK BENEFIL method we pump the resin directly into the void in order to completely fill it. The BENEFIL resin is capable of supporting the static load from the environment of the void. The load bearing capacity is similar to an average soil. When injected under slabs it fills the underside voids and re-establishes the load bearing connection between the slab and the subsoil.
The technology also makes it possible to fill hard to reach voids. The pumping equipment can be placed up to 200 meters from the void. The material travels through hoses to the injection point. The equipment is capable of pushing the material 100 meters in the void. The pumped resin pushes liquids in front of it and expels them. An unused utility pipe can be completely filled even if only one access point is available. When filling tanks, the BENEFIL material absorbs hydrocarbon liquids, therefore unused tanks can be made fire safe. Several materials can be used, according to the required density and load bearing capacity. The BENEFIL material can be removed if the void needs to be used again.
Since the material is pumped in a liquid form, it can completely fill the voids. The material flows upward, downward and sideways. The resin is capable of flowing 100 meters in the void under the pumping action, therefore every point of the pipe can be reached. The speed of the pumping allows a rather large void to be filled in a matter of hours or days.
Traditional methods can not only take more time, but can also cost more. The traditional filling materials like concrete require long curing times, which in the case of BENEFIL is 24 hours. Other traditional materials exist, but they do not flow and fill as well. With traditional materials it is all but impossible to remove them if the void must be reclaimed. BENEFIL can be removed rather easily.
BENEFIL can be used to fill large voids under slabs. The load bearing capacity of the material is suitable for static loads.
